Computing

Our children work with a variety of computing devices, applications and web-based services to extend their computational thinking, programming skills and IT knowledge through meaningful learning at school and at home.  They are encouraged to use logical reasoning to discover patterns and make generalisations creatively and collaboratively as well as understand how networks and computers function.  Children are taught to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly, recognising acceptable/unacceptable behaviour and how to report any concerns about content.

Our staff work extensively with the new computing curriculum to develop a balance between short focussed computing activities and more extended projects with cross-curricular links.

We have an extensive computer suite, wireless network and Broadband access.  Each classroom has an interactive whiteboards and access to tablet PCs to support teaching and learning.
